The staff at Oelwein Dental Associates are absolutely amazing!!! I have had several invasive procedures done by Adam Kruger and every experience has been top notch. He followed up for several days after to check up on how I was doing. He is always kind, caring, professional and respectful. The ladies at the front desk are always there to answer a question and they greet you with a smile. The assistants are patient, kind, and compassionate. Especially to my three children. Going to the dentist is not a “scarey” thing anymore thanks to the staff at Oelwein Dental Associates. I would highly recommend their services for all your dental needs!!

Read More About Us About UsMan 1: I think here at Oelwein Dental Associates and at West Union Dental Associates, you know, we’re a smaller community, and so we really pride ourselves in taking care of everyone as they walk through our door. They’re our neighbors, they’re our family, they’re our friends, and we’re gonna treat you like that too. I think every patient, you know, leaves here feeling appreciated and like they’ve been heard and that their concerns have been listened to and that they feel, you know, healthier. They feel great about coming to the dentist and leaving the dentist.
Man 2: Our staff is very caring, professional. We could not do the dentistry we do without them. They’re just as important as the doctor is. Number two thing about our office, that is probably investment in technology that we’ve made to better the long-term prognosis of the dental work we do. It makes things more accurate as far as the way things fit, the diagnosis of the treatment. But it definitely makes the dentistry more precise. It makes the patient experience much better.
Woman 1: The best qualities of our practice are, without a doubt, the culture of our practice, how we all get along really well and make it a fun environment. Two, the services that we provide, especially being in a rural area, are able to provide almost all dental services that people may need. That being said, we are within an area where if a specialist is required, we can get them to the person that needs to be seen.
Woman 2: It’s low pressure. So I’ve been to places. I’ve lived in Colorado, Minneapolis, lots of high pressure to maybe do cosmetic work. And here, you’re working together to create a solution that works for you, what makes you feel good about the work that’s being done. And I feel confident that the work is good.
Man 3: I knew exactly what we were gonna do before we did any particular step. They talked about, “And here’s the steps that it’s going to take, and we’re gonna start here, and then we’re gonna get that accomplished. You’re gonna feel good about that. We’re gonna let that settle in. Then we’re gonna go to this second step and then to the third step.” So every time I knew exactly what was gonna happen. I saw what the result was so that before I left, I was already feeling good about where I was and what the next step was going to be.
Woman 3: Well, I think they’re really great with all ages, especially with the little kiddos and things like that. They do a really nice job. Our oldest with his braces had a spacer, and it broke on a Friday night. And you call the orthodontist and it says to call your local dentist. And by the time the night was over, I had talked to Clint and David and they were, like, helping me figure out what I needed to do as a stressed out mom on a Friday night when something had broke from the orthodontist, you know, that’s not even them. So they go above and beyond, I think, for their patients.
We recommend you visit us every six months for regular checkups. It helps us stay ahead of everything that can happen to your smile. However, every patient is unique. In some cases, we may advise you to visit us more often than that. For example, if you struggle with gum disease, more frequent checkups can keep infection from reoccurring.
Since each patient is different, it’s easier to answer this question when you come in for a consultation. It depends on the number of implants you are getting and if you have any bone loss in your jaw. If you are getting an entire arch of teeth replaced with implants, we may need to do a procedure that increases the bone in your jaw. However, that’s not always necessary, especially with an advanced technique that uses fewer implants. Bottom line, we advise you to make an appointment to find out if your smile is ready for implants.
You’ll want to brush your teeth twice a day for at least two minutes and floss at least once. Maintain a schedule of checkups every six months to stay on top of oral health issues. Avoid too much sugar in your diet, since that can increase the bacteria in your mouth and lead to cavities. Eat nutritious foods, such as apples, carrots, lean proteins, and calcium-rich foods. The right nutrients can strengthen your teeth and improve your gum health. We can discuss more personalized tips at your next appointment.
